Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, a major West Wing fan, is further mining the political drama's cast for his own show.

Cherry has tapped Lily Tomlin for the recurring role of Mrs. McCluskey's sister for Housewives' new season. Kathryn Joosten, who plays Mrs. McCluskey, was President Bartlet's first assistant, Mrs. Landingham, on The West Wing, while Tomlin was his second.
