It's a legitimate question. Mr. Joss Whedon posted the following on Whedonesque this Sunday in response to reports and rumors about Dollhouse being a complete frakkin' mess: I know there's been a lot of concern, various fabulous hues of panic alert readiness. So here's the skinny. Yes, we've had to make adjustments … Basically, the network [Fox] and I had different ideas about what the tone of the show would be. They bought something somewhat different than what I was selling them, which is not that uncommon in this business. Their desires were not surprising: up the stakes, make the episodes more stand-alone, stop talking about relationships and cut to the chase. Oh, and add a chase. That you can cut to.
At this point, I'm tired of all the rumors. I just want January to be here so I can see the series and judge for myself.

That's where I'm at as well. I fully expect to love the series and be pissed off when it ends, whether by Fox canceling before its time or Whedon for his inability to do a happy ending.
That sounds about right Shalla.
That sucks. I guess FOX knows exactly what works.
Well Fox seems to be less quick to throw the axe this fall so maybe it will carry over.
This is worrying...as Joss has now be screwed by FOX on a few occations (not the least of which was the entire "Firefly" thing....damn you FOX...damn you all!).
Guess we'll have to wait and find out what happens...and damn it, won't someone leak the origianl pilot already?!??!!?!
Yes, I'd love to see the original pilot. If anyone finds it, please post a link here.
