In a stunning move, sources say Fox has renewed Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" for next fall.
The official announcement will not be made until Monday at the network's upfront presentation, but sources confirm a deal has been struck for another 13 episodes. Fox plans to continue the show on Fridays next fall.

I honestly didn't think Fox would come through. But I've very excited will have more Dollhouse next fall.

Very good news. This show entertains some really interesting ideas. Fingers crossed for a season 3 so I've still got something insane to watch after Lost expires next year...

Well they stuck in on Friday again so I'm not sure we can expect to see improved ratings, but maybe if they renewed once and second time will be easier.

Well Buffy didn't have a stellar season 1 either but man did it pick up. Dollhouse started off slow but it had great signs towards the end so I am looking forward to season 2. I just wish they wouldn't give it the Friday night slot...

Neither did Firefly... so Fox killed it... then watched, jaws on the table, as it went on to become a major motion picture, of which I hope they didn't see a thin dime.

I was surprised that Fox gave Dollhouse a second chance after what they did to Firefly. Let's hope they stay in the giving spirit.

Actually, I'm thinking that what happened with Firefly (it going on to make a big movie, with the attendant profits, DVD sales, and assorted licensing) is what convinced 'em to leave Dollhouse going for another year.

I agree Rainkiss, they know that they oopsed with Firefly...
Firefly *sniff* I miss that show...

Me, too. Nice to see Alan on Dollhouse, I like that they didn't kill 'im, left the option open to bring him back.

Yes it was nice to see Alan especially since the last time I saw him was very unpleasant for me!

No kidding.
I saw it at one of the sneak peek showings, months ahead of the release. Imagine see it, sitting in a theater literally FULL of hard-core fans. (Full, as in, they had to turn on the lights to find the last two empty seats... and Fans, as in, people in three rows shuffled seats so the last two into the theater could sit together.)
The collective gasp sucked the air out of the two theaters on either side of us, I'm sure.

I can only imagine. I would have loved to see it with other hard core fans!

It was amazing. If you have a copy of the Serenity DVD, some versions have an extra of Joss talking to the audience, they played that before the sneak preview.
